December Workshop - Day #5 - Allison 12/21/2009
well today was the day of culmination. the day when we brought all our ideas together and performed for people outside our little group. our beloved joe arrived! yay! it was so amazing to see him. it's funny, one of the most profound things i am learning throughout this whole experience is how important each of us are to the project. each of affect the company as a whole in a major way. just having joe's presence was like adding a missing piece to a jig saw puzzle. i didn't realize how much of a company we had already become. katie t, you are still sorely missed. the process of working in pairs today was also truly spectacular. i had the privilege of working with michael clifford, an awesome dancer and actor! it was so fun! all in all i find that every time i participate in this process i learn so much not just about the art we are creating, but about myself as a person. i see the intricacies of the way we work together in the incredible importance on each of our participation holds. it is an awesome example of how we relate to all things in the world. what a great group of teachers. thank you iris. xo CommentsNick Bracken 12/23/2009 5:15pm
Yes......you are very true. Everybody always plays a part and if you don't have all the pieces then it doesn't go together properly. Even with what I do in building stores for a living, I'm the site supervisor/gc/boss what ever you want to call it. I install the millwork aswell and oversee the drywall, plumbing, taping, painting, framing, electrical, well you get the picture. But if the others trades don't perform right the end result is way off. So yes everyone must play there part or roll in the project to be done right. I hope the next project goes just aswell if not better than the first.
